7 Ways To Stay Connected with God Despite Your Busy Schedules
Transform all the pressure at work or in the traffic into prayers. If you are sensitive to the Holy Spirit, virtually everything around you is a prayer prompt.
One of the reasons people find it extremely difficult to spend quality time with God is how busy their lives have been.
Nevertheless, you shouldn’t annihilate your walk with God because you want to keep a job. Here are six (6) ways to stay connected with the Holy Spirit despite your busy schedules.
Be Determined.
Be resolute in your decision to spend more time studying the Word and praying. This is where it all begins. If you really want to do something, you will find time for it no matter what. So, you have to really make up your mind.
Don't wait until you have a lot of time.
Maximize 5, 10, 15, or 20 minutes that you have. Make the most of every opportunity. Four 15 minutes you think is small makes up the 1 hour you are looking for.
Be Dynamic.
Don't let the enemy make you feel guilty that it has to be in the morning. I am not saying you should choose another time as meeting God early in the morning remains the best. But don't go on feeling guilty because you couldn't make it in the morning.
Make the most of every opportunity.
Maximize your break time, launch time, toilet time, commute time. Set your mind on a particular verse of the Bible and meditate on it. Pray over it even in the toilet.
Block Waste.
Reduce the time you spend on unnecessary things like just scrolling through social media, then invest that time into your devotion. Sometimes it is not that we don't have time, we use the little time we have on mundane things.
Use Bible Apps
Get a Bible App that can play God's word into your ears. This way your mind will be saturated with the word before you even have the time to study.
Pray in the Spirit.
Pray in tongues quietly. Maintain a prayer spirit throughout the day. Transform all the pressure at work or in the traffic into prayers. If you are sensitive to the Holy Spirit, virtually everything around you is a prayer prompt.
Being busy can never be an excuse for an epileptic relationship with God; all you need is discipline, focus and commitment.
