5 Simple Steps to Praying Through
It is ok to cut the prayer short because you “believe” that your prayer is answered just make sure your supposed “faith” is not a leeway to laziness in prayer.
Have you been praying and it seems your prayers are not answered?
It could be that you have been praying but not praying through.
Most Christians pray but very few pray through. You will never know the real joy in prayer until you learn how to pray through. You also waste prayer if you do not pray it through.
To pray through is to pray until you receive the answer to the prayer.
As Isaiah 62:7 puts it, Praying Through is giving God no rest UNTIL He establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise on the Earth.
Jesus also commands us to pray UNTIL our joy is full (John 16:24).
So we pray through when we Pray Until Something Happens (PUSH).
I'll show you 5 Simple Steps to Praying Through.
Find out the will of God.
Don’t start praying until you know God’s will on the matter else you may be going against the wind and wondering why God hasn’t answered.
You “cannot” pray through on something God is not willing to do.
Garnish your Prayer with Scriptures.
Search the scriptures for Bible references that helps you press your case before God.
The more the word you have, the more you have the resources to discuss with God.
Take God’s Word back to Him.
Once you have found God’s word, take it back to Him. Let Him see why your prayers demands an urgent answer.
This was what Moses did when God wanted to disinherit the Israelites and start all over with him. He simply reminded God of His word.
Persevere.
Perseverance is the ultimate secret to praying through. To pray through, you must learn to stay the course even when it seems nothing is happening despite your prayers.
You must pray UNTIL you receive your answer. It is ok to cut the prayer short because you “believe” that your prayer is answered just make sure your supposed “faith” is not a leeway to laziness in prayer.
You may say it is not about the quantity but the quality but the scriptures teach us otherwise. We are commanded to pray UNTIL our joy is full.
“UNTIL” can be seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades or even centuries. If the answer hasn’t come, we keep praying.
Be Sensitive to God’s Answer.
Sometimes, you may keep praying on a matter God has answered because you have your own preconceived idea of what the answer should be.
Remember, His thoughts are not your thoughts (Isaiah 55:8 )
May you have proofs for your prayers in Jesus name. Amen.
