3 Things to Set Yourself Up for a Great Morning Devotion the Night Before
One of the reasons people find it difficult to quickly connect with God as soon as they wake is the kind of activities they engage in before they slept off the previous night.
The next morning is secured the night before. What you do before you go to bed the previous night can determine how your experience is going to be during your morning devotion.
One of the reasons people find it difficult to quickly connect with God as soon as they wake is the kind of activities they engage in before they slept off the previous night.
Here are a few things you can do to set yourself up in the night for a great experience in your devotion the following morning;
Get your tools ready.
Place your Bible, Notebook, pen, hymnal and any other tool you need in a place where you can easily access them. You can lose concentration or miss what God is trying to communicate to you if you had to be looking for any of these.
Make it easy for the Holy Spirit to reach you in the morning by getting yourself ready in the night.
Avoid Media Junks.
Avoid concluding your day with unwholesome media content. Avoid mindlessly scrolling through social media feeds, ungodly music or movies.
They not only pollute your mind, they also weaken you physically, psychologically and spiritually such that you eventually wake up very weak in the morning. They can also open you up to demonic nightmares.
Brush Your Teeth; Take a Shower.
Brush your teeth and possibly take a shower before you go to bed. It gives you a great deal of freshness when you wake up.
It can be very difficult to open your mouth in praise or prayer because your mouth feels terrible in the morning.
If you want to start having a great time with God in the morning, it’s about time you give attention to what you do the night before you go to bed.
These three are just a few of other things that can be done to set yourself up for a great morning devotion.
Let me know in the comments/reply if you have other ideas of what can be done.
God bless you!
